Why we need your financial support
The Choir performs regular concerts for audiences in Gloucestershire, and occasionally throughout the wider UK and into Europe. Some of the very best conductors, soloists and orchestras have been part of the choir's musical journey which began 80 years ago in 1946 in Cheltenham.
The fees paid to professional orchestras and soloists are rarely fully met by ticket sales.
Putting on an accompanied choral concert with an orchestra and highly trained young soloists is expensive. For all our concert performances we engage up-coming young soloists who are in the early stages of establishing their professional careers and developing their repertoire and experience.
At grassroots level we actively encourage senior school-age students to become singing choir members. We do this by waiving membership fees and providing their music scores. Travel and accommodation costs are subsidised for students in secondary or tertiary education who want to join the choir.
Rehearsal expenses are a significant outlay and the costs of appointing and engaging a professional Musical Director, Assistant Musical Director and Accompanist are met by the membership subscription fee paid annually by each singing member.
The committee organise fund-raising events and choir members individually contribute by providing refreshments, raffle prizes and encouraging their friends and families to attend and support our efforts.
Financial support comes from local businesses, arts organisations and individual donations. Without the generosity of our supporters Cheltenham Bach Choir would not be able to provide the high standard of concerts and maintain the superb musical reputation it has delivered to the Gloucestershire community for many years.

Sponsorship
The Choir welcomes the opportunity to build mutually supportive relationships with local businesses and companies in the area.
We have a range of sponsorship opportunities available for corporate support including sponsoring a concert or a soloist, or sponsorship for the year. In return you will receive complimentary tickets to concerts, advertising space in concert programmes and acknowledgment in the Choir's publicity materials.
The number of tickets and size of advertising space is dependent on the level of sponsorship. For more details about how your business or company can provide sponsorship please contact Nicola Bryant by writing to her by email: chair@cheltbachchoir.com
